Charts, messages, Memo Desk and codes in one place
The communication core is the most complete part of the pilot. It has been exercised end to end on synthetic data, and each feature below lists its limits.
Live chart push Pilot
When a nurse charts a vital sign, the doctor's open chart updates live with a highlighted entry. Missed updates replay on reconnect, and pushes go only to users allowed to view that patient.
We have observed a single live push at a few hundred milliseconds in one test. That is one observation, not a performance figure.
Facility messaging Pilot
Direct and group channels inside one facility with sent, delivered and read receipts, presence and safe retry. External addresses are rejected.
Messages are not end-to-end encrypted and are stored in the database. Messaging needs the cloud hub to be reachable.
Memo Desk Pilot
A mail-style desk for long internal memos: to or cc people or roles, routine, important or formal priority, threaded replies, read receipts and acknowledgement for formal notices. Urgent-sounding text is redirected to the alert path.
Drafts, due-date escalation and retention purge are not built.
Codes and alerts Pilot
22 editable default templates per facility (for example Code Blue, Rapid Response, Stroke, Active Shooter). Meanings are editable and shown as typical usage; confirm your local meaning. Responders must acknowledge, and unacknowledged pings re-ping and then escalate to the next role.
Alerts reach connected terminals only. There is no pager, SMS or overhead paging. Escalation timers are example values.
Imminent-threat takeover Pilot
Hold to confirm, then a full-screen takeover on every connected client that overrides lock and Do Not Disturb. Cancelling needs two different eligible people.
Which two people count is an open decision. Button targets are 36 px today, below the 48 px glove-friendly design target.
Critical results Simulated
Lab, imaging and blood results published by authorised roles file to the chart and alert the care team. Critical results need acknowledgement with a recorded read-back.
Results arrive through a simulated internal interface. There are no HL7, analyzer, RIS or PACS connections.
Not built
Working with the network down (a network outage stops alerts and messaging in the pilot), offline charts, downtime reports, and SMS or pager escalation.
