C0398Is there a desktop app?
Yes. A portable Windows app built with Electron wraps the same interface as the web build. The pilot version was installed and launched on the developer's computer.
C0399Can we download the desktop app?
Not publicly. The app is unsigned, not offered for download, and Windows SmartScreen will warn. A code-signing certificate and update channel are needed before any clinic installs it.
C0400Does the app update itself?
No. Automatic update is not built.
C0401How is the desktop app hardened?
It runs with the Electron sandbox, context isolation, three narrow messaging channels and a locked navigation target. OS lockdown is the facility's responsibility.
C0402Can the app run full screen for terminals?
Yes, a kiosk switch hides menus, blocks reload and close shortcuts and keeps navigation inside the app. It does not block Windows system keys.
C0403What does the screen layout look like?
A top bar with history buttons, brand, status pills and user, a collapsible sidebar, a main workspace, a status footer and a red offline banner.
C0404Is the interface accessible?
The pilot offers large text, high contrast, a light theme and reduce-motion preferences and uses colour plus pattern plus text for alerts. Formal accessibility conformance testing has not been done.
C0405Is there a dark mode?
Alert and chart views default to a dark theme and a light theme is available.
C0406What devices can open the web build?
Modern browsers on desktop and tablet; it is the same build as the desktop app.
